Reminder – The Biggest Home-grown Tomato & Zucchini contest now open

Posted by on Jul 21, 2015 in Committees & Projects, News and Events, Programs, The Gardens

All Master Gardeners are invited to enter their largest tomatoes and zucchini from their home garden into our “Home-grown” Vegetable contest. The first place winners will be announced at the September “Pin Party” and will receive a prize

The Contest starts Thursday, July 16 and ends Thursday, Sept. 3

Rules: The vegetable categories are heaviest tomato and heaviest zucchini. Master Gardeners must grow the vegetables they enter into the contest.

Bring your vegetables to the Demonstration Garden on Thursdays, between 10:30am and 11:00am to have them weighed and logged by members of the Sharing Garden Committee.

Please don’t bring your vegetables at other times for weighing at the garden. To ensure fairness, we will only be weighing the vegetables on Thursdays, between 10:30am and 11am. If you cannot make it to the garden at this time, please send your produce to the garden with another Master Gardener.
