Vote for the New Members of the Master Gardener Executive Board

If you did not attend the Master Gardener Holiday Party on December 5,  you still have the opportunity to show your support for the Master Gardener Executive Board by going to the Helpline Office and completing a ballot.  The Helpline is open Mon & Wed 9 am – 3pm and Friday from 9 am – 11 am, but please call the Helpline 908-654-9852 to make sure the office is open.   The poll closes on December 20 at 3 pm.

Below are the candidates and offices for the Master Gardeners Executive Board:

Second Vice President:       

  • Dan Black, class of 2017

Volunteer Hours to Date:  128

Committee Involvement:  Arts and Crafts, Communications/ publicity, spring garden fair, holiday party, and clerical in the office and community gardening with children

Third Vice President:

  • Ann Burgmeyer, class of 2011

Volunteer Hours to Date:  130+

Committee Involvement: Herb Garden and Helpline, Spring Garden Fair

 Corresponding Secretary:

  • Indira Govindan, class of 2017

Volunteer Hours to Date: 75

Committee Involvement:  annual fair and plant sale, craft-sale committee

Treasurer:

  • Terry Gibbons, class of 2015

Volunteer Hours to Date:  More than 400

Candidate Urgently Sought for Corresponding Secretary on the Master Gardener Executive Board

The Nominating Committee has not yet received a nomination for Corresponding Secretary on the Master Gardener Executive Board.

If you know anyone who would like to serve or you, yourself, are interesting in standing for the position, please contact Richard Leister ASAP at Leisterr8@verizon.net or 908-790-1552.

The duties of Corresponding Secretary are to:
1. Handle all correspondence for all meetings and programs. ( This includes correspondence connected with the Annual Fair and Plant Sale.)
2. Maintain correspondence files according to year in the RCE office for a period of five to seven years.

The Corresponding Secretary is a voting member of the Executive Board
