Master Gardener Picnic on Saturday, June 23

Posted by on Jun 20, 2018 in News and Events

Our Master Gardener Picnic will not be complete without YOU, your family or friends.  We have a nice group coming on Saturday at our Trailside garden between 2 and 5pm.  We can use some help with set up, so come a little early if possible.  Please RSVP  with the number of people you will bring, so we have enough burgers and hot dogs.  Please also let me know what you are bringing: an appetizer, salad, or dessert.
Looking forward to seeing you at our beautiful garden.

Plant Swap Thursday June 7 at Demo Garden 6-8:30 pm

Posted by on Jun 5, 2018 in News and Events

Hello Master Gardeners,

The county has a new program – a “Plant Swap” to encourage residents to remove invasive plant species from their property and “swap” them for a native plant.  The Plant Swap is taking place in the Demonstration Garden on Thursday, June 7, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm in our demonstration garden at Trailside.   If you would like to participate in the plant swap, please RSVP by emailing the county at watershed7@ucnj.org.

Here are details about the event:

http://ucnj.org/press-releases/public-info/2018/05/23/how-to-find-beneficial-native-plants-for-healthy-yards-and-gardens

We could use some volunteers to help with directing cars down to the demonstration garden and helping with the event.  If you would like to volunteer, please RVSP to Madeline at mflahive@ucnj.org.  Volunteers should arrive at 5:30.  If  you need to arrive later, that is fine.  I am looking for volunteers to take shifts directing cars down to the garden.

Thanks,

Madeline
